Irish English

I have to say that the level of English in the Irish youth is shocking. Kids graduating from universities and colleges with degrees and even honours have the writing skills of AOL script-kiddies. It pains me to read these resumes before me. Each paragraph is laden with cringe worthy grammar and infantile sentences. There is a strong literary history in Ireland but I am not seeing it in the current generation.

listen up ye blood....but you've heard of Chavs right? Because it isn't just the Irish that are losing the gift of a conherant language, it's happening the world over. Soon we'll all sound like Ali G.

Aight, you're deadly right. Wicked on the bling I say.

But these chaps try to write proper English, and fail. They'se don'ts use Ali-lingo loik. Thas cool, if'n you wanna be like The G, then be like Ali and use it wicked deadly. Don't be half arsed about it.
