VMWare Fusion first go

Time taken to install Windows XP Professional in VMware Fusion: ~30m, one reboot
Time taken to update said installation using Windows Update: ~2hours, many reboots

Annoying.

VMWare Fusion so far is pretty good though. It seems to take fewer resources than Parallels, the interface is cleaner and its Unity feature is better than Coherence in Parallels. I’ll try it out for the next few days, as I fix Internet Explorer bugs in my system, and then report back.

I've been using it since the 1st beta. It works very well and I can share VM images with the rest of my coworkers (who are PC people). That was the main selling point for me. Works well on both my MacPro and macbookpro.

I haven't installed the final version yet though.
