An end to Quicksilver?

Spotlight has been rejiggered in Leopard. Now it displays the names of matching *programs* instantaneously, before Spotlight has built the rest of the menu of results. And a simple Enter is all that’s necessary to open the first listed result (not Command-Enter). In all, finding and opening a certain program takes under one second.

Finally, Spotlight has caught up to Quicksilver in that one important regard. It could be the end for Quicksilver on my laptop as I use it primarily to launch apps. Obviously for more advanced users of Quicksilver the Spotlight updates won’t be enough.

I am still undecided about paying €129 for the upgrade though. A few reviews today might sway it.
