The thing about Microsoft products is that they have to be big. I don’t just mean big from the space they take up on your hard drive but also the feeling you get when you are using them.
An insightful comment not just about Microsoft software but a lot of other software. Not only enterprise desktop systems either but many websites are slaves to the same idea.
People start with focused, simple ideas but feel the need to justify their tool by bolting on a ton of extras.
